Outdoor activities
Dorothea Quarry is a low level walk that you can do straight out from Trigonos (the red X on the map pictured). The Nantlle valley is an old slate mining area and this walk takes you around two now-flooded quarries and past some of the old buildings that were associated with them.

Trigonos is Demeter-certified, organic and biodynamic land, with an ornamental walled garden and three working polytunnels, a kitchen garden and an apple orchard providing food for their own kitchen and the local community. Dinas Dinlle Beach is a possible day out destination for the Welsh Fruit Festival 2026. Dinas Dinlle is about 8 miles from Trigonos, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive there. It has a free car park and clean free toilets... and it's beautiful!!
