Working nights…
To the best of my knowledge, and I would seriously love to be proved wrong here, I am currently the only medical doctor in this country who is even attempting to follow a fruit-based raw vegan diet while working night shifts in an NHS hospital.
Sometimes I fail.
When I was younger I thought I was invincible. I thought nothing could hurt me or stop me. I thought I had a will and a shell of steel. I thought if I set my mind to something I could just do it. No chance of failure.
Now I know none of that is true.
I know that people are fragile and fallible. We break easily. We need each other. We are not islands. We can very rarely do it alone.
I am organising the Welsh Fruit Festival 2026 for one very selfish reason, and that is that I need it. I need help. I need other people around me to help me stay on track.
And it might be that you need that too??
To the best of my knowledge, I am still the only person in my city (Liverpool… home of the Beatles and the deep-fried jam sandwich) attempting to follow a fruit-based raw vegan diet, and sometimes I fail.
We don’t need to be perfect. Not for ourselves and not for the people we are trying to help. We need to be imperfect travellers on the fruit-based road together.
If you would like to bring your imperfect self to North Wales next August and join us, we would love to have you. The desire to be there is the only qualification you need 🥰🤗🏴🍎
