Trigonos organic and biodynamic retreat centre, Nantlle.

TRIGONOS is a Demeter accredited organic and biodynamic retreat centre set in 18 acres of land owned by the charitable RUSKIN MILL TRUST. It is a not-for-profit social enterprise that grows a variety of produce in its extensive kitchen garden and three polytunnels.

Trigonos has a main house (Plas Baladeulyn) which contains the kitchen and dining room and a library downstairs, and a number of bedrooms on the first floor (accessible via the main staircase).

Trigonos has four main function rooms: Modron, Arianrhod, Ceridwen and Goewin.

Modron is a large room with under-floor heating and big windows looking towards Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). It is suitable for group activities like yoga and arts and crafts.

Arianrhod is the main hall, with polished oak floorboards. It can seat up to 70 people, or can be kept empty for dance parties and other indoor fitness activities!

Ceridwen is a carpeted room that adjoins Arianrhod. It can be used for circle-time, small group Q&As or general quiet relaxation.

Goewin is in a separate building adjoining Eryr. It is carpeted and also has a window facing up the Nantlle valley towards Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). It would be suitable for morning meditation, children’s activities and other small group activities.

Trigonos has 31 beds spread across four buildings: Plas Baladeulyn, Eryr, Dol Wennol and Dol Gwydion. All beds are in double, single or twin rooms, with or without en-suite bathroom facilities. There is space for additional camp beds for children.

Camping at Trigonos will be in the West Field. Compost toilets and mobile showers will be provided. Access to the West Field is by foot from the car park via a path through the kitchen garden. It is not possible to drive into the West Field and there is no electricity.

Please note that Trigonos has an open lake (‘Llyn Nantlle Uchaf’) at the bottom of the site. There is a hedge barrier between the camping field and the lake, with access through a gate and via a path through the woods. However, there is no barrier around the lake from the East Field. There is a path from the main house through a gate and then on through the East Field to a small pebble ‘beach’. You can wild swim in the lake from this spot but you do so at your own risk. You are asked to please never wild swim alone or in the dark. Do not exceed your swimming experience and capabilities. Children MUST be supervised at all times when down by the lake. Thank you :-)
